This weeks random project is a new wreath…err door decor for our front door. I’ve had a lovely 4th of July one hanging up for a while. Now that the season is changing its time for something new.
The cross had been cut from corrugated aluminum and was originally and ugly red with white circles with the words “Hotty Toddy” plastered across the front. Even after painting with acrylics over it you could still see the horrid text in the middle so I covered it with the twine wrapped M and some leaves.
The leaf ribbon I bought last year on clearance at Wal-Mart and was hoping to finally make some use of it this year. The leaves, flowers, and twine—right down to the bells—all came from Dollar Tree as they are an excellent place to buy florals for a cheap price. (Only $1!) I still have quite a bit left over I have plans for with some glass Coke bottles to decorate my kitchen cabinets with.
