This particular work is typography based but with still have a little Dream Shop flair.
It’s taken a moment to get more canvases in but I’m back at it with my pile of Apple Barrel, Folk Art, and Blick Artist Acrylics. I’ve started with using a little antique white and cadmium red to start building up my base of colors. Red acrylics tend to lay out thin and sometimes see through, and work better together in layers. I’m purposely leaving the center of this piece lighter than the edges. After the first coat I gradually faded in a few more darker shades I’ve concentrated closer to the edge and corners. (Just mouse over the photo below to see the progress thus far.)
My last heraldry project McCurdy Family Crest I finished recently. Now I’m in the process of starting a new crest: The Bradley Family Crest which is a bit long over due now between my recent move, Makers Market preparations and getting ready to add a new member to our family, but progress is progress so here it is:

I have another project up for show for my friends at Crane’s Post, this time featuring a piece inspired by the set of The Lord of the Rings. (See the inspiration for this design here.) Continue reading →

Finally complete; just a few of the Full Metal Alchemist fan art labels.
I’ve started another project for my friends at Crane’s Post, this time featuring a little Full Metal Alchemist. It’s a very popular Anime/Manga series I haven’t seen for a while, which is the subject of my latest request. Continue reading →
I’ve gotten a few projects out of the way and now trying to gather supplies to work on my 18×24″ canvas project I mentioned in a earlier post. I’ve had my canvas picked out but I’ve needed a photo copy of the shirt I’ve been asked to recreate using my own creative license. This client inherited one of my earlier paintings and would like to see what I can pull off with his old favorite shirt below.
“Jesus Wept” client’s original screen print shirt I have to work from.
I like the idea of keeping a black background, but I’d like to make the tiger a bit more realistic perhaps. My mind is still rambling on with many ideas to sort out on this one!
Stay tuned as I will have more updates to follow as I get started!

This shoppe keeper has a busy weekend ahead as I’ve picked up two new custom projects: 1) a 18×24″ canvas painting reproduction of a very old shirt design I’ve been commissioned to give new life, and 2) a packaging label for a pocket watch any Dr. Who fan would love to get their hands on.
Stay tuned as I will have more updates to follow as I get mock ups started!
